It’s getting difficult to see up close with my current progressive lenses
Do any of these situations sound familiar ?
I used to see well at all distances with my progressive lenses, but lately I’ve been removing them when I want to see something close-up.
When I wear my progressives, I feel like my overall vision isn’t as good as it should be.
Your eyes’ focusing ability may have changed.
Your first progressive lenses were adapted to the capacity of your eyes to focus on near objects, based on the eye exam performed by your optician at the time. But it’s likely that the required near vision power, called addition, has changed. You should visit an optician again and have your vision checked.
Most likely, your addition needs to be stronger, meaning that there is now a bigger gap between your power needs for far vision and your power needs for near vision. As a result, you may need to upgrade to a progressive lens offering higher performance, which can restore and even improve your quality of vision.
Because there is a guarantee of adaptation on all Nikon lenses, you can also choose to upgrade to a Nikon progressive lens even if you are currently using a lens from another brand. (Conditions apply—ask your optician.)
The Nikon lenses that fit your needs
There are several grades of Nikon progressive lenses that offer various levels of comfort and width of clear vision field. The right choice for you will depend on your lifestyle and correction needs. Ask your optician if you need advice.
